Phil started playing golf at the age of 13. As soon as he turned 18 Phil landed a job at The Drift Golf Club in 2007. He has worked under the instruction of PGA Head Professional and Tour Coach Sam Quirke ever since. In 2012 he embarked on the task of building a junior academy at The Drift Golf Club. His passion to coach children lead to setting up Surrey Junior Golf to focus on introducing golf into local schools.
Mark has been playing golf for most of his life, starting at the age of 4. Mark has come from a background of living with golf as his Dad is a PGA Professional and has taught in England, New Zealand and Australia. He has a vast knowledge of the game from being in this environment all his life and has always learnt from his father when working underneath him. Mark completed his Sports Coaching Certificate in 2004 allowing him to coach children in the game of golf. He has now teamed up with Phil at Surrey Junior Golf to do this.
Sam took up this most wonderful game at the age of 17, turning Pro just three years later! As an amateur he represented his club and Bedfordshire County, having success in both regional and national events.
At the age of 23 Sam’s passion for coaching had been recognized and as such was appointed a County coach for the Bedfordshire girl’s team.
Once qualified after a year as Head Assistant at The Bedfordshire Golf Club, he took the position of Head Professional at the picturesque Drift Golf Club in Surrey.
